Could a Massachusetts upset be ripe for the making?
Recent poll numbers from Public Policy Polling show mainstream Republican Scott Brown and Democratic Attorney General Martha Coakley neck and neck for the seat, which has a special election scheduled for this month. One of the key components is that Brown’s supporters are showing as more loyal to the candidates, while Coakley’s are less resolved in their pick.
However, a University of New Hampshire poll shows Coakley ahead by 15 points, and many Democrats are claiming that this poll is the more accurate reflection of the voters. Coakley was also just endorsed by Vicki Kennedy, the widow of former Sen. Ted Kennedy.
