The Democratic Governors Association is committing $1-million to helping elect Alex Sink FL Governor. It’s called the GOP Accountability Project and other targeted states include California, Colorado, Iowa and Ohio.

After just a week, multi-millionaire businessman Fred Lampropoulos (R) plans to drop his challenge of U.S. Sen. Bob Bennett (R), Republican sources told The Salt Lake Tribune.

With his announcement of a troop increase in Afghanistan, President Barack Obama has complicated an already hazardous political landscape and introduced a highly combustible element into scores of House and Senate races.

Republicans tried to make the case after Rep. Dennis Moore (D-Kan.) announced his retirement last week that it was a precursor to a mass Democratic exodus. Rep. John Tanner’s (D-Tenn.) announcement late Tuesday that he will not seek reelection is much more suggestive of Democratic retirements than Moore’s was.
