Former Red Sox pitcher and Republican Curt Schilling won’t be running for Senate in Massachusetts, he says. In addition to this, the MA Senate has okayed a successor to be appointed for the seat until the election.

Sarah Palin is back, and she’s in Hong Kong talking politics and taking swipes at the White House as she tries to recover her reputation for a potential White House bid.

Washington Post (Washington, DC)

In the latest sign that he is preparing to run for president in 2012, Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R) is starting a political action committee that will allow him to donate to state and federal candidates and travel the country in support of his party.

Dallas Morning News (Dallas, TX)

Gov. Rick Perry (R) announced Tuesday that he’s won the endorsement of Dallas energy executive T. Boone Pickens, and Perry declared himself an ally in the billionaire’s effort to promote wind energy and natural gas as a way of weaning the nation from foreign oil.
